EBSCONET: E-Package Renewals

A 30 minute session for those interested in learning about the process of working package renewals through EBSCONET, including format changes, and dropping and adding titles when allowed.

Research Starters

This session is for librarians, college university faculty and their students, and will cover EBSCO’s Research Starters in Business, Education and Sociology. Research Starters are essays on over 500 topics in each discipline listed. Approximately 3,000 words in length they provide students and other researchers an ideal starting point for gaining an understanding of key topics.

EBSCOhost Advanced

This one hour session utilizes the Advanced Search Screen and covers the selection and application of Subject Headings from the Thesaurus, Utilization of Limiters, and Field Codes (such as TI (Title) or AU (Author)) to obtain more highly relevant results. The Search History will be used to combine search statements to create complex searches. Cited Reference searching and its applications will be reviewed.

EBSCOhost Integrated Search

This one hour session is intended for librarians, students, faculty and others who would like to learn more about EBSCOhost Integrated Search which allows users to simultaneously search EBSCO databases as well as all other electronic resources including those from other database aggregators, OPACs and publisher packages.

History Reference Center

This one hour session is intended for librarians, teachers and staff who would like to learn more about History Reference Center. We’ll explore the Reference Shelf and learn how easy it is to browse popular titles.
