The Texas State Library and Archives Commission is now accepting applications to support projects that make unique or rare materials available to library users across the state. An estimated total of up to $150,000 is available for TexTreasures Grants, subject to approval by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. The maximum award for FY 2011 is $20,000 for a single institution and $25,000 for collaborative grant projects. The agency will host a webinar on the TexTreasures grant program on November 22, 2010, from 10-11 a.m. CST. Topics covered will include a review of the goals and purposes of the grant program, information on the application process, and tips for a successful proposal. Click here to register. The deadline for applications is February 25, 2011, with awards to be announced in August 2011. The grant period will run September 1, 2011 – August 31, 2012.
