The Library and Archives Commission may deliberate on and/or take action on any of the following agenda items. The commission may go into executive session on any agenda item listed below, as authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Gov't Code, Chapter 551.
- Welcome, introductions, and general announcements.
- Consideration of commemorative resolution.
- Approve minutes of August 1 Commission meeting.
- Public Comment.
- Conflict of interest disclosures.
- Review of consent agenda: non-substantive corrections in other agenda items such as spelling, numbering, punctuation, grammar, or other revisions.
- Discussion with Texas Public Finance Authority regarding capital project financing.
- Report and recommendation of the Audit Committee for possible action on contract for internal auditor.
- Report of the Archives and Records Committee meeting of November 1, 2018.
- Review and approve contracts greater than $100,000, contract renewals, and amendments.

Review and approve acceptance of gifts and grants greater than $500. Tab 6
One gift of $3,600 from the National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators (NAGARA) to the Archives and Information Services Division. -
Report on Sunset Review.

Discussion of request to grant an easement at the State Records Center.

Report of the Director & Librarian: may include information or updates on agency programs (Talking Book, Library Resource Sharing, Library Development, Information Resources Technologies, State and Local Records Management, Archives & Information Services, Administrative Services, Communications Office, and Center for the Book). Also includes key meetings and activities, and Friends of Libraries & Archives of Texas.

Authorization to propose amended rules regarding juvenile records retention:
a) 13 TAC §7.125(a)(3), local government retention schedule CC (Records of County Clerks)
b) 13 TAC §7.125(a)(4), local government retention schedule DC (Records of District Clerks)
c) 13 TAC §7.125(a)(5), local government retention schedule PS (Records of Public Safety Agencies)
d) 13 TAC §7.125(a)(8), local government retention schedule LC (Records of Justice and Municipal Courts) -
Authorization to adopt proposed amendments to 13 TAC §8.1, §8.3, §8.4, and §8.5, TexShare Library Consortium.

Authorization to post a rule review pursuant to Tex. Gov’t Code §2001.039 of 13 TAC Chapter 1, Library Development.

Authorization to adopt proposed amendments to 13 TAC Chapter 9, Talking Book Program.

Report on agency expenditures summary.

Executive Session under the Open Meetings Act. The commission may meet in Executive Session on anyitem listed above if authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act, Tex. Gov’t Code Ch. 551.
