The Library and Archives Commission may deliberate on and/or take action on any of the following agenda items. The commission may go into executive session on any agenda item listed below, as authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Gov't Code, Chapter 551.


  1. Welcome and introductions.
  2. Check presentation to the Women’s Storybook Project.

  3. Minutes of April 15, 2019 Commission meeting.

  4. Public Comment.

  5. Conflict of interest disclosures.

  6. Audit follow-up report and updates.

  7. Report on maintenance and safety upgrades at the Sam Houston Center.

  8. Review and approve acceptance of a gift greater than $500.
    A gift of $95,265.14 from the Atascosito Historical Society. A gift of $1,000 from The Parker Charitable Foundation. A gift of $5,324 from CCATT Holdings LLC to the State and Local Records Management Division.

  9. Review and approve the following contracts greater than $100,000, contract renewals, and amendments.
    Texas Facilities Commission, not to exceed $3,400,000 for retrofitting of records facility at Promontory Point; Texas Facilities Commission $277,078 for renovation of historical buildings at the Sam Houston Center; AMIGOS E-Book Project, $237,500; Counting Opinions, $30,750.

  10. Report on outcome of the 86th Legislative Session.

  11. Discussion of status of request for an easement at the State Records Center.

  12. Report of the Director & Librarian: may include information or updates on agency programs (Talking Book, Library Resource Sharing, Library Development, Information Technology Services, State and Local Records Management, Archives & Information Services, Administrative Services, Communications Office, and Center for the Book). Also includes key meetings and activities, and the Friends of Libraries & Archives of Texas. 

  13. Demonstration of online resources available via TexShare.

  14. Final approval of records storage and imaging fee schedules for FY 2020.

  15. Authorization to re-adopt 13 TAC Chapter 7, Local Records.

  16. Authorization to re-adopt 13 TAC Chapter 2, General Policies and Procedures.

  17. Future commission meeting dates.

  18. Report on agency expenditures summary.

  19. Executive Session under the Open Meetings Act. The commission may meet in Executive Session on any item listed above if authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act, Tex. Gov’t Code Ch. 551.
