Covers the eastern United States, extending as far west as Texas, showing rivers, lakes, mountainous areas, states, towns, a few major roads, and forts. Illustrations: 1) The Capitol, Washington; 2) Buffalo Hunt, 3) Penn's Treaty with the Indians, 4) Washington's Monument, 5) Benjamin Franklin, 6) George Washington, 7) [A national emblem bearing the inscription 'excelsior"], 8) [United States shield]. A later edition of this is map 2744.
