Description:
Note: "Corrected for the Texas Almanac to 1871" Shows rivers, lakes, mountainous and forested areas, counties, cites, towns, roads, railroads, forts, camps, and Indian tribes. Insets: 1) Plan of the Northern Part or Panhandle of Texas, 2) Plan of the Great West, 3) Plan of Matagorda Bay, 4) Plan of Sabine Lake, 5) Plan of Galveston Bay. There are two copies of this map. One has railroads drawn and labeled on the map. The other copy has figures for white and black populations in each county written onto the map. The figures probably represent 1870 census figures. This is a later edition of map 399. Long. 92 - 107 deg. 6/14/82
