Description:
Manuscript map showing rivers, creeks, blocks and lots (giving numbers), and roads which cross the area surveyed. Corrections made from the 1858 survey are shown in red. Map no. 1030 shows this and surrounding areas. These maps accompany the document "Contract Between the State of Texas and Abner Saylor, Capitol Building Contractor. Setting forth that a resurvey of the Capitol Lands has been made with the results herein stated." Signed by various government officials, including Governor John Ireland, at Austin, Texas, January 7, 1887. This document can be found in the Capitol Building Commission Records, Series II.
