Translation of title: (The Coast and Environs of the River Mississippi, as discovered by Mr. de La Salle in 1693 and reconnoirtered by Mr. le Chevallier d' Iberville in 1698 and in 1699) Covers the southern Gulf Coast, extending from Florida to Tampica, Mexico; and part of Cuba and the Bahamas. The interior is shown as extending as far north as a Chouman village on the upper Red River. Shown are rivers, settlements, forts, and Indian villages. The location of La Salle's settlement is noted.
