(Title translated) Topographical and geographical Map of Texas
Covers most of Texas, excluding the Panhandle and west Texas. Shows rivers, creeks, mountainous and forested areas, land grants, colonies, towns, settlements, roads, routes and trails-- including the Santa Fe Trail, forts--including the Alamo and Parker's Fort, and Indian tribes and villages. Colored areas indicate mineral deposits, and the map contains notes refering to wildlife and topographic features. The map is in German.
This map appears as the frontispiece in Texas. Mit besonderer rucksicht auf deutsche auswanderung und die physischen verhaltnisse des landis nach eigener beobachtung egschildert, by Dr. Ferdinand Roemer (Bonn, A. Marcus, 1849).
