Views: 1) Terre-Plain of the Gorge of Fort Sumter, 2) Terre-Plain and Parapet of the Eastern Flank of Fort Sumter. Two images, dated April 1861. This map accompanies the report of Brigadier General G.T. Beauregard, C.S.A. This map and report are part of the Atlas to Accompany the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies, compiled by Captain Calvin D. Cowles, Government Printing Office, Washington, 1891-1895, plate CXXI. Title page, table of contents, and index to maps in the atlas are filed under map #3209. A reprint of this atlas can be found in the Archive's Texana book collection. Two views, the largest being 14 cm x 23 cm. 12/10/84
