Description:
Shows bays, rivers, creeks, lakes, mountainous areas, islands, canyons, counties, cities, towns, highways, roads, mileage between points, state and national parks and forests, wildlife refuges, battlegrounds, missions, ruins of forts, military bases, the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation, tourist information offices, and the Intracoastal Canal. A key to cities and towns a list of state parks, a mileage chart of major cities, and general information about the state is also given. Insets of the following cities are given, showing major routes in and out of the city, and other features such as airports, military bases, colleges, and public buildings: Amarillo, Wichita Falls, Waco, El Paso, Austin, Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Fort Worth, Dallas, Galveston, Houston, Beaumont-Port Arthur area. The reverse side contains pictures of people and places from across the state, and a map of the United States showing major highways.
