Description:
Shows bays, rivers, creeks, lakes, mountainous areas, islands, canyons, counties, cities, towns, highways, roads, mileage between points, state and national parks and forests, wildlife refuges, battlegrounds, ruins of forts, military bases, the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation, tourist information offices, and roadside parks. A list of state parks, a mileage chart of major cities, a key to counties, cities, and towns, and general information about the map is also given. Insets of the following cities are given, showing major routes in and out of the city, and other features such as airports, military bases, colleges, and public buildings: Amarillo, Wichita Falls, Waco, El Paso, Austin, Corpus Christi, Lubbock, San Antonio, Fort Worth, Dallas, Houston, Beaumont. The reverse side contains pictures of people, and places from across the state. Earlier editions are 6183-6224, later editions are 6226-6242.
