Description:
Series Title : Proposed OCS Sale 58A Map showing the proposed tracts offered for oil and gas leases by the Department of the Interior in the western and central Gulf of Mexico. This offer was based on the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act of 1953. This overlay is to be used with maps 6498- 6505. These are color maps of the Gulf, each map showing different scientific or cultural features. The Gulf is divided into a grid, and the overlay map shows which tracts are available for lease. These maps are accompanied by a pamphlet, also under map 6497, providing details about bidding for the leases and other information. Maps 6506-6508 are also part of this series. Published in Proposed 1979 Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Lease Sale 58A. Western and Central Gulf of Mexico, volume 2. U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Mangement. 7/30/86
