Description:
Title translation] Geographical and Physical Atlas of the Kingdom of New Spain, Based Upon the Astronomical Observations, Trigonometric Measures and Barometric Surveys Atlas. Consists of maps by Humboldt and others, showing bodies of water, mountainous areas and other topographic features, roads, provinces, intendencias, cities, towns, forts, presidios, ranches, mines, observation stations, and Indian tribes and villages. Also present are tables and two engravings of volcanoes. Several plates contain two or more maps. Maps are in black and white, while tables and drawings are in color. Titles and bibliographic information is in French, while the body of map is largely in Spanish with some notes and features in French. A list of maps is attached. This atlas is too large too photocopy. 12/17/87
