Description:
Covers an area between the San Antonio and Colorado Rivers, extending north to Jackson County, south to the coast. Counties covered are Jackson, Victoria, Calhoun, and Matagorda. Shows bays, rivers, lakes, bayous, creeks, islands, topographic features, counties, cities, towns, outlying buildings--including houses (giving owners names), plots of land, roads, routes and trails, and railroads. Notes regarding water crossings are given. Maps 7090 & 7091 cover plots II & III--maps of other areas between these rivers. This map is reproduced from the holdings of the National Archives, Record Group 77, Civil Works Map File, Z49-1.
