Description:
Covers an area between the San Antonio and Colorado Rivers, extending north to Columbus, south to Wharton. Counties covered are Colorado, Lavaca, Jackson, Victoria, Wharton, and Matagorda. Shows rivers, lakes, creeks, topographic features, counties, cities, towns, outlying buildings--including houses (giving owners names), plots of land, roads, routes and trails, and railroads. Notes regarding water crossings are given. Maps 7089 & 7091 cover plots I & III--maps of other areas between these rivers. This map is reproduced from the holdings of the National Archives, Record Group 77, Civil Works Map File, Z49-2. Long. 95 deg. 55' - 97 deg. 00' 8 sheets, each 59 cm x 44 cm. 9/22/88
