Description:
Map shows historical features, dating from about 1680 to the late 1800s. Features shown include rivers, mountainous and forested areas, cities, towns, forts, camps, battlegrounds, ferries, missions, routes of explorers expeditions, military expeditions, cattle trails, mail and stagecoach routes, Indian trails, the old San Antonio Road and other roads, Indian reservations, and the XIT and King ranches. The map contains brief notes relating to historical events and is illustrated with drawings of ships, Indians, cowboys, and others. Accompanying the map is a series of small maps, each focusing on individual events or features. Similar maps are maps 7585 and 7689. TOO LARGE TO PHOTOCOPY. 8/27/91
