Description:
Covers area around Pignataro Interamna and the Abby of Montecassino, Lazio region, central Italy. Shows cities, towns, larger buildings, airfields, churches, cemeteries, industrial works, highways, railroads, trails, bridges, canals, creeks, rivers, lakes, mines, wells, aqueducts, vegetation, boundaries, and contour lines. Map is made of two fragments of maps cut and taped together: Sheet 160-II ("Pignataro Interamna") and "Reproduction German Map Captured 9 December 1943 by the 36th Division at Mount Sammuero." Rivers are hand colored in blue pencil, railroads in black ink, highways in red ink, and numbers written in pencil on tracing paper overlay. 1/31/01 (HR)
