Our public service areas are open Saturday, May 10, 2025 – 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

* Please note: *  Parking will be limited, and street closures may be in place due to special events on Saturday. Pricing in the Capitol Visitors Parking Garage may vary. Metered spaces on San Jacinto Street and throughout the downtown area are the most cost-effective option. 

Parking in front of the building on Brazos Street is limited and discouraged. Non-metered spaces are reserved 24/6, and towing is enforced. Parking information is available on our Visit Us webpage and the State Preservation Board website. 

On-site hours in the Archives and Reference reading rooms in Austin are 9:00 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on the Second Saturday of every month. Download the Second Saturday flyer (PDF) for more information.
