Collegeport, Texas, U. S. A.

(2)

Day after day many of us wish to go to Palacios for business, for pleasure for
religeous [sic] and educational privileges but defer because it means a trip of
65 miles for the return trip.

We are not asking at this time that you designate the entire Hug The Coast
route from Palacios, through Collegeport to Freeport and Galveston but only ask
that you give serious consideration to our situation and gives [sic] us designation
from #58 at Palacios across the bay to a connection with our present County
#3.  If you feel that you can not use the funds for the entire three miles
just at present give us the causeway soon as possible.  We will  gladly get [sic]
drive our autoes [sic] over dirt roads to the causeway on either side, and wait
with patience until the gaps may be closed with a hard surface.

This letter is written in the interest of 1600 who live in the section
described and more than 1000 non resident lot owners many of whom will move
here the instant free and uninterrupted traffic facilities are arranged.

We, therefore, beg of you gentlemen to give this communication attention and
relieve us from the present distressing situation.

Very truly yours,
H. A. Clapp

Secretary
Collegeport Industrial League
