of the costs, which the said Perkins then
& there paid[.] And said Henry E Perkins also
advanced the remainder of the mileage as
charged[.] The whole amount which he has
paid is the sum of one hundred and forty
eight 25/100 Doll[ar]s as pr bill annexed & this
is his receipt for said amount[.]

Harris County This is to certify that B.P.
Lanham has qualified and now is the acting sheriff
of Harris County. That the name B.P. Lanham
is the true signature of said Lanham[,] he being
the sheriff aforesaid.
