of time; however I presume that they too were
convicted for like offences. I have conferred with
my Predecessor in regart [sic] to the matter but he
is not willing to give me any information on
the subject. Owing to his removal from Office
he is not on very good terms with me, and
did not leave things straight in the Office by any
means[.] Hoping I have furnished you with
sufficient information I will close my letter[.]
