Page 1

In the course of a week, conservation agent J.H. Morehouse traveled 542 miles. As his reports reveal, a conservation agent also had to be an auto mechanic. Morehouse details his expenses in these reports. For example, on September 29, he spends 50 cents getting a tire fixed, $2.40 on 10 gallons of gas and two quarts of oil, and 75 cents on dinner in Beaumont.
