Debate on Women's Suffrage Petition , October 4, 1875

In addition to Weaver's resolution, a petition was submitted to the 1875 Constitutional Convention by Sarah Hiatt of West Texas. Her petition was accepted after the debate shown here and referred to the Committee on Suffrage. Like the Weaver resolution, it died in committee.
