James V Allred
James Burr V Allred (V was a middle name, not an initial) was born in Bowie in 1899. He served in the Navy during World War I, then became a lawyer and practiced in Wichita Falls. Allred was a shrewd, publicity-conscious politician known to his supporters as "Jimmie." [Prints and Photographs, #2005/001-26]
