Neff with military officers

Governor Neff poses with officers on the Capitol steps. This photo comes from the Thirty-Sixth Division Collection. The Thirty-Sixth United States Infantry Division, also known as the Texas Division because it was composed mostly of Texas National Guard troops, saw action in Europe during both world wars. In World War I, the division fought in the Aisne valley in the Meuse-Argonne offensive, suffering 2,601 casualties. The Thirty-Sixth was demobilized in June 1919.
