TSLAC Inclement Weather Procedures

When the director and librarian determines that the health or safety of employees or patrons would be placed at risk due to weather conditions, or conditions or events prevent performance of regular operations, an emergency closure of some or all TSLAC facilities may be deemed necessary. Every effort will be made to post closure announcements on the front page of the agency website, the online calendar, and social media, preferably by 5:00 p.m. the day before a closure is necessary. However, in some cases a decision may not be possible until the next morning. In such cases, a determination will be made by 6:00 a.m. on the day of the closure.
