Association for Rural & Small Libraries (ARSL) 2024 Community Needs Assessment

The 2024 ARSL Community Needs Assessment is an opportunity to share how ARSL can better meet your needs as a library professional. Your opinion is valuable in shaping the future of the association. In fact, both members and non-members from the wider library community are invited to participate. The survey should only take 15-20 minutes to complete. Rural Library Training for Library Boards

Texas Summer Library Program: 2024 New Director Orientation Series (webinar)
In this recorded webinar from the Texas State Library and Archives Commission’s New Director Orientation series, CE Manager Katherine Adelberg and Library Management Consultant (and former Youth Services Consultant) Christina Taylor provide an overview about resources available from TSLAC. Cardholder signup policies: Access in practice (webinar)
In 2023, Brooklyn Public Library launched a research project to collect and study cardholder signup policies from public libraries across the nation. The project aims to identify the range of policies and procedures which govern cardholder access as well as the rationale used for establishing these policies. Research findings have been summarized in a report made available to the library field beginning spring 2024. Access the webinar recording for a discussion about the inspiration for this study, how the research was conducted, and key findings and takeaways using data from more than 1,800 public libraries across the United States.
