TexShare Databases
Authoritative, ad-free, and available 24/7. The TexShare Databases are electronic resources licensed for the exclusive use of Texas libraries and their patrons. Resources include health information, do-it-yourself projects, homeschool help, magazines, journals, and much, much more. To access any resource, click on the icon then select your library from the dropdown menu. You will need to enter the unique password for that institution. Contact your librarian for assistance or follow the instructions on the login page to request a password by email.
Some TexShare resources do not require passwords and may be accessed from anywhere in the state. These include:
- LearningExpress Library - A collection of interactive tutorials, practice tests, articles, flash cards and e-books patrons can use to improve academic skills in reading, writing, math and science as well as prepare for high-stakes exams. You will need to create an account to get started so that you can save items and track your progress.
- Book & Reading Engagement Kit: Home Edition - Over 172,000 resources about children's and young adult books, including videos, audio recordings, and videos, audio recordings, activities, and lessons to enrich your reading and virtual learning.
- E-Read Texas Unlimited Collection - Over 2,000 e-books to read online with no holds and no waiting periods! Includes fiction and popular non-fiction topics such as cooking, travel, and hobbies and crafts. To read e-books on your phone or tablet, download the BiblioBoard app and select E-Read Texas as your library.
TexQuest Electronic Resources
An encyclopedia, e-books, magazines, and more! TexQuest provides access to authoritative digital resources for educators, students, and students' immediate families in Texas K-12 public schools and open-enrollment charter schools. To access any resource, click on the icon then enter your school or district from the dropdown menu. You will need to enter the unique password for that district or school. Contact your school librarian for assistance or follow the instructions on the login page to request a password by email.
Texas State Library and Archives Commission Online Collections
The Texas State Library and Archives Commission preserves and documents the shared heritage and culture of Texas by identifying, collecting, and making available the official archival records of Texas government. From historical treasures such as the first Texas Constitution to government digital records, ARIS maintains and provides access to more than 200 million pages of archival documents and more than two million volumes of printed library materials.
