The #TXBookChat series offers brief discussions and programs with authors, librarians, and literary professionals. These informal conversations offer a quick look into different aspects of the state’s literary world and showcase Texas authors, themes and books.

Join the Texas Center for the Book on Monday, August 4 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. for #TXBookChat LIVE with author Cynthia Levinson, co-author of Who Owns the Moon? And Other Conundrums of Exploring and Using Space.
Levinson will discuss her new book—written for children ages 12 and up, and informative and fun for adults as well—with Texas Center for the Book Coordinator Michele Chan Santos, followed by an audience Q&A session. Hosted in the Public Event Space at the Lorenzo de Zavala State Archives and Library Building located in the Capitol Complex, 1201 Brazos Street in Austin, this event is free and open to the public.
Selected items from the State Archives collections related to space exploration will be on display for attendees. Signed copies of the book will be available for purchase at the Texas Capitol Visitors Center Gift Shop, located next door to TSLAC.
Cynthia Levinson, winner of the Robert F. Sibert Medal and many other accolades, is the author of numerous nonfiction books for young readers. Who Owns the Moon? grew out of her curiosity about the laws governing our activities in space and concern for international cooperation and was co-written with Jennifer Swanson. Cynthia and her husband divide their time between Austin and Boston. Learn more at cynthialevinson.com.
Families, students, educators, and readers of all ages are invited to attend this free event and may RSVP online at https://forms.office.com/r/0dQWB5Jzt5.
