FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Liberty, TX – Join the Sam Houston Regional Library and Research Center (SHC) for another year of book club meetings featuring works of fiction related to libraries, archives and museums. The 2026 calendar is filled with engaging titles that should inspire discussion with the group. Led by a member of the SHC staff, the book club meets on the fourth Tuesday of January, April, July and October from 6–7 p.m.

Speaking of clubs, the first selection for the 2026 SHC Book Club is the novel The Briar Club by Kate Quinn. Set in Washington, D.C., in the 1950s, the novel presents women who form friendships while living in a boardinghouse during the postwar era. Join the discussion on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 6 p.m.

April 28         The Stolen Queen by Fiona Davis
