Season 3, Episode 3: Learning a New Language
Not sure how to find an audiobook you will actually enjoy? In this episode, TBP Reader Advisory Librarians Laura Jean and RC talk about one of the most common questions they get from patrons: "How can I learn a new language?" They discuss resources available through the Talking Book Program, including self-instruction programs in braille and audio format, study guides, phrasebooks, and foreign language materials.

On Texas Talking Book Voices, the podcast of the Talking Book Program (TBP) at the Texas State Library and Archives Commission, we go behind the scenes to explore different facets of the service and meet the people who help make reading accessible to Texans with visual, physical, or reading disabilities. Whether you’re a TBP patron, a librarian, or a library fan, we have something here for you!

New episodes are released on the first Thursday of every month.

Available on our website, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Podbean.

This streaming video version of this episode is not yet available on YouTube, but will be published there, and on this web page, soon. Thank you for your patience.
