Description:
Sketches of action and skirmishes in West Virginia, Virginia, and in front of Washington, D.C. Shows rivers, creeks, terrain, towns, houses and other buildings, roads, railroads, lines of skirmishes, and Union and Confederate troops. There are 25 sketches. This map is part of the Atlas to Accompany the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies, compiled by Captain Calvin D. Cowles, Government Printing Office, Washington, 1891-1895, plate LXXXIV. Title page, table of contents, and index to maps in the atlas are filed under map #3209. A reprint of this atlas can be found in the Archive's Texana book collection. 25 drawings, the largest being 10 cm x 6 cm. 11/20/84
