Capt Heard is at Victoria with a small

detatchment [sic] in conjunction with a small

force under Capt Owens[.] The Troops are

rendavousing [sic] at Gonzales and at Austin

so says Major Montgomery who has just

arrived from the upper Country[.]

Every person has left

can learn to go to the Army. Make

all the speed you can as every

express that arrives they are calling for
