such harange [harangue] that these papers are

filled of and as the Vessel is about

going down in tow I must close

with telling you that the Mexicans are

of opinion that they are coming down

on Texas by Sea & land with Indians

and all against you.

My last accounts from the

army at Matamoras represent

them inactive—and no sign of

any movement.
