Knights of the Golden Circle coded message, April 1861

acording [sic] to Gen’l instructions given as by Mr Clark who
organizes a K.G.C. castle in this place, I enclose 6 for degree[?]
works ____[?] necessary for first and second degrees[.]
If the amt is not sufficient write and we write to
send the ballance [sic]. [W]e need them[.] [P]lease send
