Libraries are often the first place in communities where people learn about the newest technologies (some recent examples: personal computers,the World Wide Web, 3D printers, mobile devices, etc.). It’s important for library staff to keep informed about what’s coming and what’s already here - as this tech could substantially alter our lives by changing the way we learn, conduct business, and socialize. Below, we’ve gathered together some resources and articles to act as an introduction to technologies that are generating a buzz in libraries. Some of this tech is already in use or right around the corner.
