Expand the libraries you can use to nearly 500 libraries with an additional TexShare card. Sign up for a TexShare card at any of our three locations. You must meet these criteria: You have a non-expired Tom Green County Library card that is in good standing You are at least 18 years of age TexShare cards are good for one year. To continue after a year, reapply for another TexShare card.

Effective August 23, 2022, fines will no longer be assessed for overdue library materials. Once items are more than 28 days beyond the renewal date, they will be considered lost and replacement cost will be assessed. Up to 50 total items may be checked out at the same time on one library account. This does not include downloadable books.

We issue regular TGCL cards to all Texas residents rather than TexShare cards. Cards are issued at the circulation desk of any Tom Green County Library. Cards are free and available to all Texas residents. A government-issued photo ID and proof of current residency (driver's license, utility bill, lease agreement, etc.) are required.
