Obtaining a TexShare Card:
Any Fort Worth resident with a valid Fort Worth Public Library card in good standing, along with a picture ID, may obtain a TexShare card at any of the Fort Worth libraries.
Using a TexShare Card:
TexShare visitors must complete the standard FWL borrower's application. In addition TexShare visitors must present their valid TexShare card issued by their home library, along with a picture ID, and current proof of address, in order to obtain an FWL TexShare Visitor Card.
Loan Policies:
TexShare Visitors are subject to the same, fees, loan periods, and borrowing limits as resident FWPL account holders. TexShare Visitors may have remote access to the TexShare databases available through FWPL's website. They may not have remote access to databases, eBooks or other digital resources licensed by FWPL. TexShare visitors must use the Interlibrary loan services available at their home library. Additional items they can not check out are reference, genealogy, local history, and rare books.
