Obtaining a TexShare Card:
The applicant for a TexShare Card must be a registered patron of Lubbock Public Library System and must bring their library card and photo ID to the circulation desk to apply for a card. Patrons with outstanding fines or fees are not eligible for a Texshare card. Applicant must be a resident of Lubbock County.
Using a TexShare Card:
Visitors are required to show their valid TexShare Card and home library card and fill out a Lubbock Public Library card application.
Loan Policies:
There is a 5-item limit for borrowers using a Texshare card. The loan period for all books is twenty-one days. Inter Library Loans are not eligible for visiting Texshare users. Texshare cards cannot be used to access the Libby OR Hoopla apps, or any online subscription databases. Items checked out with a TexShare card cannot be renewed and must be returned on their due date. Borrowing privileges may be suspended for failure to pay billed charges.
