Applicants may apply for a TexShare card at any one of the Waco-McLennan County Library branches. Applicants must be registered borrowers for six months and have checked out once within the last two months. Applicants must be in good standing: no lost, damaged, or billed material or have been blocked due to overdue material in the last six months. No current overdue material, fines or fees. Applicants will be responsible for all material borrowed from another library.

Visitors with TexShare Cards from other libraries may apply for borrowing privileges at the Circulation Desk. Patrons must present both their current TexShare card and a photo I.D. Patrons will be asked to fill out an application. A current/valid TexShare card and photo ID must be presented in order to renew the card and only accounts in good standing are eligible for renewal.

TexShare borrowers are limited to 3 items checked out at one time, books, audiobooks and DVDs. Borrowing privileges are blocked if items are overdue or patron has outstanding material or unpaid fines. Special Items, eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines may not be borrowed. TexShare cardholders do not have remote access to online databases or material via Interlibrary Loan requests. McLennan County residents may not use a TexShare card to check out material; they may apply for a free WMCL card.
