I have the
unpleasant intelligence to report
that the frontier is not in so quiet
a condition as it has heretofore been.
In all the towns east and north of
this place, the Mexican authority
is reviving. We have direct intel-
ligence from San Fernando 130 miles
north of this. The Mexican Governmt
is drawing both men and resources
from that, and the neighboring towns.
