TSLAC CARES Grant Program - Cycle 2 of the Program is open for application.
The TSLAC Cares Grant Program funds community needs identified by Texas libraries in areas of digital access and inclusion to include programs, training, and tools necessary to increase community access to vital digital digital technologies and services. Additionally, funds may be utilitzed for library iniatives that support prevention, preparation, and response to the COVID-19 emergency.
LSTA Competitive Grants - The FY 2021 grant cycle is now CLOSED. Awards will be announced in August 2020.
The Texas State Library provides competitive grants to public and academic libraries to support innovative practices that enable libraries to develop programs for populations with special needs; promote cooperative services for learning and access to information; promote reading and literacy within local communities; provide seed money for new or innovative programs and services; and provide access to their special or unique holdings and to make information about these holdings available to library users across the state.

Texas Family Place Libraries (accepting applications beginning November 1, 2019) - The 2020 grant cycle is now CLOSED.
New Grant Program: Library Services for Border Cities - The grant cycle is now CLOSED.
This grant program will provide funds for activites that lead to the construction of a library facility (facility planning) or expansion or creation of library services to all members of the library’s community. Specifically, this grant will fund the expansion of municipal libraries or library services serving communities in or near the following south Texas communities: Edcouch, La Feria, Peñitas, La Joya, Harlingen, and Sullivan City.
