may view your picture.
It really seems strange to
me that so long a time should
have passed by since this
design was made, without
being placed on canvas.
I am well aware of the expense
attending the painting of such
a subject. But I think the
State of Texas should never have
allowed the opportunity to pass
of securing this in a canvas
picture of suitable size for her
State House. Please accept my
thanks for sending me the photo.
