Your fav[or] of
24th inst & inclosures [sic] been rec'd & as
soon as I could make it convenient, I
have drawn off a copy of the statement
you desire, & herewith transmit the
same properly authenticated.
One of the prime objects of the Society is to ac-
cumulate in a safe repository all possible
information pertinent to the history of the
state for the benefit of the future histo-
rians & of all persons inquiring [sic] after truth.
