Dear Sir
I expect you
have come to the conclusion
by this time, that "important matters"
have entirely effaced your wishes
to have a portrait of my husband
from my mind; After my return
my time was occupied by the ill[-]
ness and death of an old friend.
Then I have had much trouble
in getting a correct photo. from
the portrait; If I had known it —
[I] would have sent the portrait,
but the copy is very good. The lower
part of the face gives one the impres[-]
sion that the contour of the face
