Handbook of Texas article on Anson Jones
Jan 10th 1892
As my mother has been sick
for some time, and is now in bed,
I wish to give you the the [sic] information
in regard to my father.
His height 5 ft 8&1/2 inches, hazel eyes,
fair complexion[,] dark auburn hair
or in common parlance red - in build slightly
inclined to corpulency.
My mother regrets not having replied to
your request sooner, but ill health
and nervous prostration has [sic] prevented her
so doing. With best wishes for your
success I am very respectfully
S. E. Jones
for Mrs. Mary Jones.
