State Agency Bulletin 1: Electronic Records Standards and Procedures
ADDITIONAL GUIDANCE: We're compiling a list of supplemental resources to assist state agencies in fulfilling the minimum requirements of Bulletin 1: Electronic Records Standards and Procedures. Includes general e-records guidance and sample policies from other states as well as Texas. Some specific topics include destruction, long-term digital preservation, social media and text messaging.
Bulletins are compiled by SLRM in a centralized location for ease of reference by our local government and state agency customers. They contain links to the Texas Administrative Code, Texas statutes, a combination of both, or best practice and guidance related to a particular topic or concept.
Bulletin 1 contains the administrative rules (Texas Administrative Code, Title 13, Chapter 6) regarding standards and procedures for the management of state electronic records adopted under authority of Government Code Chapter 441 by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission.
