Local Government Bulletin F: Records Storage Standards
Bulletins are compiled by SLRM in a centralized location for ease of reference by our local government and state agency customers. They contain links to the Texas Administrative Code, Texas statutes, a combination of both, or best practice and guidance related to a particular topic or concept.
Bulletin F contains the statutory law governing the care of records of permanent value (Local Government Code, Chapter 203) and the records management of certain court documents (Government Code, Chapter 441), in addition to administrative rules (Texas Administrative Code, Title 13, Chapter 7) concerning records storage standards adopted under authority of Government Code Chapter 441 by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission.
