Sam Houston to George Whitfield Terrell, February 1842a little of what needs, tho’ he don’t want
any thing of the kind! He did not call
on me, nor let me know that he was in
the city. I will write to him at the Island,
and learn what I can, and if he
he [sic] does not inform me, I will surely
learn him something. Oh! I should
be truly pleased, if I have, all my wor-
thy Cabinet with me, but it will hap-
pen ere long I trust.

              The Messrs Kulps, or Culps,
are as clever, genteel, attentive & steady
as war—and no young Gentlemen
stand higher. I want to call on them
tomorrow!

Mrs Houston joins me, in true
regards to you. Write constantly!
Salute all friends. Ever thy friend truly,

  Houston

  Terrell
